The inaugural meeting of the Association was on 17th October 1903 when a meeting of Old Boys was called by P.F. Davis
and A.J. Freeman. All Old Boys and all Masters past and present were eligible for membership. Initially there were 8
members (those present at the meeting) and M.F. Hopson was invited to be the first President. At the close of the meeting
refreshments were kindly provided by Mr. & Mrs. Sharwood Smith. |
The objects of the Association shall be: |
(a) to keep Old Newburians in touch with the School and with each other. |
Membership is open and costs £10 for Life Membership. Please contact the Membership Secretary. |
We publish two newsletters each year as well as a magazine, 'The Old Newburian', which is published in October each year. Contributions to the magazine will be gratefully received as well as photos from past events. Although publication cannot be guaranteed (space is limited) an interesting photo will have much sway with the editor. In addition it is intended to publish interesting photos on this site so please email them together with an anecdote or two. |
